Paul Goodeve is Chief Executive Officer of Clarus (formerly Firstgas Group), a role he has held since 2016. A Chartered Accountant, Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, and member of the Institute of Directors, Paul has extensive leadership experience across both regulated and non-regulated energy infrastructure.
He has deep expertise in transmission and distribution networks, alongside a strong track record in advancing renewable energy initiatives. Under his leadership, Clarus has developed and executed a clear strategic direction, positioning the business to play a key role in New Zealand’s evolving energy landscape.
Paul is also a committed advocate for the Taranaki region, with a strong focus on supporting the community through the energy transition.
