Distributed Gasses

Trucks that transport gaseous hydrogen are called tube trailers. Gaseous hydrogen is compressed to pressures of 180 bar (~2,600 psi) or higher into long cylinders which are stacked on trailers hauled by heavy trucks. Gaseous hydrogen can also be distributed through reticulated pipe networks either as pure hydrogen or blended with natural gas.  Energy dense liquid hydrogen is often transported over longer distances in insulated cryogenic storage tanks.
