Commercial Project Delivery Manager -Aus, NZ, SE Asia, Lanzajet
Dean leads project delivery for LanzaJet in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. This role sees him supporting LanzaJet clients to develop their SAF projects as well as leading LanzaJet’s SAF projects across the region.
He has a rare combination of skills and experience in the commercial, technical, markets and project management aspects of energy and pipeline businesses. Dean has worked on a number of biofuels and hydrogen projects assisting clients in understanding how low carbon technologies can be economically deployed.
Originally a Mining Engineer, he has over 23 years’ experience around the world with top-tier international oil and gas companies like Shell and BG Group, as well as consulting and strategy experience with KPMG and GPA Engineering.
He has consulted to industry and government across Australia on the energy transition and future fuels and has a deep understanding of the roles that different forms of energy can play as the world moves to a more sustainable future.
Dean is Project Director for Project Purakau, LanzaJet’s integrated woody biomass-to-SAF project centered on the North Island.
Having worked on some of the world’s most complex upstream energy projects from concept to execution, he is an expert in project management and understands the challenges of new energy projects and their commercial drivers.
Dean has strong management, commercial and gas markets experience; while at APA Group he led large multi-disciplinary teams accountable for $1.4bn of revenue from 67 contracts on 17 integrated gas assets worth $15bn.
Dean has an Executive MBA from Bond University, a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from UQ and is a qualified Project Management Practitioner.
