Barry Prince

New Zealand Hydrogen COUNCIL Board Member

Vice President - Hydrogen, Fabrum Solutions Ltd

Barry operates across the full hydrogen value chain—production, liquefaction, storage and dispensing—and turn complex ideas into delivered assets. He brings hard‑won, practical experience from real deployments in aviation, heavy transport and mining, and he couples that with a strong grasp of safety, regulatory and risk considerations. Equally important, he can translate the technical into plain language that decision‑makers and the public can understand.

Barry is a natural coalition‑builder. He works comfortably with airports, councils, research partners and OEMs, and he focuses on outcomes that lift the whole sector. He’s engaged with the Council’s community already and understands where governance can accelerate practical progress. In my view, Barry would add a valuable delivery‑focused, collaborative lens to the New Zealand Hydrogen Council Board, and I strongly support his nomination.

He has a strong background in parish governance. He currently serves as Chair of the Finance Committee for Holy Family Catholic Parish, providing oversight of financial stewardship and strategic planning. Previously, he was Chair of the Parish Council at St Bernadette’s Catholic Parish, where he led community engagement and supported pastoral initiatives.
