Andrew Clennett
Chief Executive Officer, Hiringa Energy
Andrew Clennett is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hiringa Energy, a company established in 2017 and focused on developing green hydrogen infrastructure across New Zealand and Australia.
He brings more than 27 years of international experience in the energy sector, having held a range of senior management and executive roles within multinational energy companies. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
At Hiringa Energy, Andrew has been instrumental in advancing hydrogen as a practical solution within the energy transition, building partnerships across sectors and integrating new energy models with existing industries. He has also led the progression of key projects, including the Kapuni Green Hydrogen Project reaching Final Investment Decision (FID), marking a significant step forward for domestic hydrogen production and fuel security in New Zealand.
His work is focused on unlocking commercial pathways for hydrogen and accelerating the shift toward secure, resilient, and zero-emissions energy systems.
