Aya is one of the founding members of the Tuaropaki-Obayashi green hydrogen initiative in New Zealand, which dated from 2015 to present. Her relevant knowledge, key skills & experience include:
Project Management & plant operations
Aya led the project development team for the construction of the Halcyon Green Hydrogen Plant by working closely with both international and local subject experts (design, consenting, construction, commissioning). She is currently overseeing day-to-day operations of the Halcyon plant.
International collaboration
Aya successfully contributed to the formation of a joint venture between a renowned iwi organisation Tuaropaki Trust and Japan’s leading constructor Obayashi Corporation.
Reporting directly to Directors from these two parent entities, Aya has been maintaining a good, collaborative relationship between Tuaropaki and Obayashi to date.
Customer development
Aya has built partnerships with a number of early adopter companies in New Zealand and has successfully supplied its green hydrogen to them.
