Stephen is the Strategic Projects Group Manager for Great South. He has successfully managed large scale civil, mechanical and energy related projects. Stephen commenced working in the hydrogen field in 2007 assessing the feasibility of transitioning the heavy diesel transport fleet to hydrogen fuelled vehicle utilising distributed electrolysers and intermittent renewable energy.
In 2015 Stephen along with other foundation members worked on the establishment of the New Zealand Hydrogen Consortium and in 2018 the NZ Hydrogen Council. He is in his third term as the Board Chair of the NZ Hydrogen Council.
He has in the past two years been involved in the evaluation global industry standards and has managed the completion of 10 Technical Reports focused on supporting large scale investment in the NZ Hydrogen Sector. His business, project management, sport and community contributions have been acknowledged by in 2017 being awarded Member the New Zealand Order of Merit.
